CR\T was founded by Quad/Graphics in 1982 because the renowned printing company was not satisfied with the quality and consistency of web offset inks available from its ink suppliers. That direct connection to our pressrooms and our press operators gives us a real-world laboratory that other ink manufacturers can only dream about.
Environmental Commitment
To increase our competitive edge, Quad/Graphics and CR\T continue to make not only the best-performing inks, but also the most environmentally friendly inks available.
Our ink research and development group has been working on two goals: reduce the volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions, and reduce our use of nonrenewable resources such as petroleum-based oils.
Our Enviro/TechTM inks are specially formulated with the environment in mind. Our inks are made from a blend of various vegetable oils and our Enviro/TechTM logo can be included on pieces printed with our ink.
The average renewable resource content of our Enviro/TechTM is ~27%.
